Film: The Oxford Murders
Board games have a certain prominence in this movie: Mrs. Eagleton (Anna Massey) seems to be a Scrabble fan . She proposes Martin (Elijah Wood) a match early in the movie, and the board is found a little later beside her when she is murdered, thus becoming an evidence for the police.
Later we see Martin and professor Seldom (John Hurt) in a pub using a Clue board to speculate about the crime. There´s a chess set there too.
Finally, at Seldom´s house, we briefly see another chess set and a large napoleonic, miniature war game in more detail.
