Cloak & Dagger (Richard Franklin, 1984)

A curious movie which mixes videogames, role playing games, board games, fantasy and reality. Both the Cloak & Dagger videogame and board game were created for the movie (the latter by Ideal, then a CBS Toys company).
We also see many other board and role playing games throughout the movie, as the protagonist boy, Davey (Henry Thomas) is an avid fan and there are several scenes at a store called The Game Keeper.

The Cloak & Dagger board game was created for and released after the movie

Fantasy and reality are mixed in the film

Cloak & Dagger was advertised as a "role playing" game, although it had elements
from both, role and board games

A miniatures display at the bottom, probably for Dungeons & Dragons

A Dungeons & Dragons display at the store's warehouse

Avalon Hill's Blitzkrieg is clearly seen in the hands of Davey's father (Dabney Coleman)

The firts game is Traveller Starter Edition. The games in the middle seem D&D starter and modules

Several chess sets, Dungeons and Dragons and many other games can be seen in the store scenes

Boggle and Big Boggle at the lower right corner

Arizona, USA, no longer in business
