The International Movie Board Game Database (IMBGDB) intends to be, in time, a
comprehensive online file, eminently graphic, about films featuring board games and
also about films based on board games or about board games and board gamers in
general.
On each film´s post you will find a link to its
IMDB (International Movie Database) page
(which usually detects your location and translates the movie´s title to that which
it has in your country) and also a link to the game or games´ pages on BGG (Board Game Geek), the most
famous worldwide site about the gaming hobby. Just click on the titles to
access either website.
Which films?
IMBGDB will include feature films, short films and
telefilms. For the moment, we won´t be including TV Series.
Which games?
Even though IMBGDB is
mainly about board games, we will be
including other types of related games such as role-playing games, miniatures
games, cards games and, in general, tabletop games. We won´t be including
traditional card games like poker, Spanish deck and variants. Chess won´t be a priority, since there are so many great websites about it, but we will include it either way.
This a non-professional, non-profit project the organizers and collaborators are working on in their spare time. Any
suggestion or idea in order to present a better and agiler site is welcome, but we also
ask for your understanding. We don´t intend to offer a piece of art, but rather
a functional and practical database.
Contributions
We appreciate very
much your contributions. If you can add any new movie, or at least tell us
about it for us to search it, don´t hesitate. Please see more in this regard at
the Contributions
section.
